How Do You replace the hand brake lever on the South African (Nissan Build)
Uno 1100 Fire (1992 Model) 1108 cc Engine Spec?
The Handbrake Lever doesn't hold up into the Ratchet part anymore and doesn't stay up when handbrake applied as the parts are worn down over the years.
I tried Banging out the Pivot at rear of the handbrake lever but can't see what holds the pin in place and wont move, Is there a Split Pin Or Washer Holding it?
Thanks Walter
There is an adjuster under the car just under where the handbrake lever is.
There is a screw on the hand brake handle inside the cabin. Just take off the leather that is covering your handbrake lever, and you will see it.
To change the handbrake cable on a 2007 Fiat Punto 1.2, start by lifting the car and removing the rear wheels. Disconnect the old cable from the handbrake lever inside the car and then from the brake mechanisms at the rear wheels. Install the new cable by threading it through the appropriate channels and reconnecting it to both the handbrake lever and the brake mechanisms. Finally, adjust the cable tension as needed and test the handbrake before lowering the vehicle.
To adjust the handbrake on a Fiat Punto Grande, first, ensure the car is on a level surface and the wheels are chocked. Locate the handbrake adjustment nut, usually found under the center console or near the handbrake lever. Turn the nut clockwise to tighten the brake or counterclockwise to loosen it, ensuring the handbrake engages securely with a few clicks when pulled. Finally, test the handbrake by engaging it and checking for proper function before replacing any covers.
