I would be suprised if you have adjustable valves.
how do you set valve on 1998 350 vortec
5.7 later valve adjustment procedure begins with the removal of the valve cover. Each valve has an adjustment screw. The screws can be turned to adjust the valves.
If a Vortec engine shakes or rumbles at low RPMs it likely needs a timing adjustment. It would also simply need a tuneup.
YOU CAN'T. It is NOT ADJUSTABLE. The idle is all computer controled.
There is no adjustment, Factory sensor is made so when installed there will be .050 clearnce between senor and tab.
There are 2 different types of valves on the 5.7 L vortex engine. Both the exhaust and fuel injection valves can be adjusted by turning the adjustment screws.
Vortec
There is no timing adjustment on that year. Computer controls the timing. This is partially correct. The distributor can and has to be adjusted to set the cam retard offset. For this you will need a scan tool that does this.
Regardless of the block, you have to use Vortec heads to use a Vortec intake.
There are 4 different Vortec engines for that year. Stock horsepower at the crank are: The 4.3L (262ci) Vortec V6 has 190hp The 5.0L (305ci) Vortec V8 has 230hp The 5.7L (350ci) Vortec V8 has 255hp The 7.4L (454ci) Vortec V8 has 290hp
when did Chevy vortec come out
will a 4.3l vortec starter fit a 305 vortec?
