you need to be certified to purchase R12 Freon, i think they even took it off the market due to environment issues....
Either buy the R-12 off eBay or use Freeze 12..................
You will need to have your a/c converted to R-134A. The R-12 refridgerant your vehicle was designed for is no longer available for purchace by non-certified persons.
R-12 for cars and trucks............. EPA 608 certified for homes.... This is a certification that is required by the EPA, and if you are to handle any kind of refrigerant you must be certified..............
On all years, makes and models you will need to go to any automotive a/c repair shop and have them reclaim this for you.... (Do not just let it out in the atmosphere this is illegal)....... Depending of if your have R-12 freon or R134A freon you can buy the R134a freon at any auto parts store but you need to be licensed to buy R-12 freon.........
NO! They are made differently and WILL FREEZE the system and may cause a poisonous gas as well.
yes it does r12. if you dont want to convert to the 134a. you can use freeze 12.
well unless you've converted it to the r-134a then you still have the r-12 version and you have to buy that at a auto store but make sure that you are certified to buy it because they wont sell it to you other wise, you can tell if you look at the ports and they are the kind that you twist on then you have r-12.
you can't. the government banned R-12 freon in the 1990's. i wish i could get some, it gets much colder than r-134.
This is regulated by federal law, so there is no variance between states. Without ASE and EPA certification, you can only buy 12 ounce cans of either R134a or R22b refrigerant. For R-12 refrigerant, or the large cylinders of any other refrigerant type, you need to be licensed and certified.
Freon-12 is a Compound.
