It can be some pretty ghastly reading, but those sections will explain all of the rules and regulations pertaining to learner's permits (as well as some other junk that doesn't apply to you). You will not see any requirement that you present a hard copy of your permit when you apply for your permanent CDL. The DMV clerk is going to run your name through the State's database whether you have a hard copy or not, to determine if you are entitled to the permanent license.
