Yes. It will make the truck less aerodynamic. It was give the truck the shape of a large hatchback in the rear. This design is very unaerodynamic because it creates a large vacuum behind the vehicle which wants to pull the vehicle backwards and the engine must work harder to overcome this vacuum. Trucks are already aerodynamically horrible, sometimes twice as bad as a car. It will make a difference, however it may be small enough that you will not notice it in the short run. In the long run you will end up spending more on gas however. It all depends on the shape and weight of the camper shell.
