Depends on what the infraction is and your previous driving record.
A traffic ticket could raise your insurance rates. It won't raise them right away, but may come into play when the insurance is being renewed.
It can definitely raise your rates.
In Canada it does not because it is not a moving traffic violation.
yes. it is a moving violation.
This will highly depend on where your licence is from. This will also depend on if you have any past traffic tickets within 3 years. If this is your first infraction, most insurance companies in Ontario will not raise your rates, but if it is your second, you could face a rate increase of 10%. Filing no claims on your insurance will not raise your rates. Your insurance agent would just as soon never hear from you except when you pay your premium.
It will make your insurance premium go up..
Hi, I got a Careless Driving Ticket in October 9, 2012. My insurance rates went very high, however, I was notified this ticket has been corrected to Interference with Traffic with no Demerit points. My insurance company won't lower my rates. Is there any recourse I can do? I am not guilty of Careless Driving, so why must I pay for it? Best Regards, Shari
