Yes, the only engine available is the 2.5L and it uses a chain not a belt.
It has a timing chain. No maintenance is required.

It appears that 2014 Honda Civics use a timing belt.
chain ( on the 2.3 liter 4 cylinder and the 3.0 liter V6 )

I have 2001 Mazda Tribute 4WD with 3.0 V6 and it uses timing chain, not a belt.
The 2008 Mazda 6 is equipped with a timing chain rather than a timing belt. Timing chains typically require less frequent maintenance than timing belts, as they are designed to last the lifetime of the engine under normal operating conditions. However, it's still important to maintain proper engine care to ensure the longevity of the timing chain.
All 2011 Mazdas use timing chain. Just look up "timing" at autozone.com for your vehicle...and it will show you what is available for sale....that's a good way to test.
i have the same car. recently i went pass the 100k mark and i contacted my dealer to get my timing blet replaced but he said that all Mazda 6, 3, 2 cars have timing chains and that last for life of the car
The Mazda Miata, specifically the first-generation (NA) models produced from 1990 to 1997, did not use a timing belt; instead, they were equipped with a timing chain. The second-generation (NB) Miatas from 1999 to 2005 continued to use a timing belt in the 1.8L engine. However, the later third-generation (NC) models from 2006 to 2015 reverted back to a timing chain. Therefore, the Miata models with a timing belt were only the NB variants.
Timing chain - all E36 and E46 models use a timing chain.
You never need to replace the timing chain if the engin use timing chain(not timing belt).
