Driver side temp blend door actuator has failed.
The heater temperature sensor is probably disconnected. The ground wire is either loose or not connected at all. The sensor may need to be replaced.
The Avalanche has dual controls for the air conditioning system. One control operates the driver side ac vents, and the other control operates the passenger side vents.
This driver came out in 2005.

Not sure what you're asking, but dif this is happening all the time, you might have a dual air control system. You can adjust the temp for the passenger and the driver, and the control may be faulty.

It is possible for hot air to be coming out of the driver's side and cold on the passenger's side if there is a dual temperature control on the heater/AC unit. Try adjusting the temperature controls to see if that fixes the problem.
