Look on the block down and you will find a code just above the starter that is cast into the block. This will tell you the date the block was cast. You may also find a metal tag under the coil that has a date on it prior to 1973. After 1973 there was a label glued to the valve cover.
I have a Golf GTI 16V KR Engine Its number is KR 1288403 Can someone tell me what year it was manufactured?
To find the manufactured year of a 4D56 engine, you can typically look for the engine number stamped on the engine block. The engine number often contains a code indicating the year of manufacture, which may include a specific sequence of letters or numbers. Additionally, you can consult the owner's manual or contact the manufacturer or a dealership for more detailed information based on the engine number. Lastly, online forums or databases related to Mitsubishi engines may also provide insights based on the engine number.
The answer is yes you can. The bellhousing is the same for the I6, 302, and 351w. You will need the flywheel for the engine you are swaping in. You may also need to change the computer. But if the motor is from around the same year everything should connect just fine.
Contact the maker.
