most commonly oil in water system or sometimes you get water in the oil which turns it a milky colour. can also be external water leak but make sure engine is up to normal operating temperature before checking.
Nothing good, I can tell you that. Anything from a warped head, cracked head, warped block, cracked block, and basicly, a blown engine.
how u know the block is really cracked
If you suspect the head and/or the block, have them "magnafuxed" by a machine shop. On the other hand, as you're pulling it apart, check the head gasket and if it's shot, there is usually only the one problem.
A cracked block is a fracture [crack in your engine] you need a new block!Try to find a used motor in a junk yard. Good luck toro2.
A cracked "engine housing" probably means a cracked block. Very not good. A new engine will most likely be required to fix the problem, as a cracked block is next to impossible to repair.
blown head gasket or cracked block blown head gasket or cracked block
Visually on the outside. Internal cracks there will almost certainly be a mixing of the oil an coolant one way or the other.
it is not a cracked engine block it is just a loose block
Yes you can. A cracked block does not necessarily mean the car will overheat. If a block is cracked at a coolant jacket then coolant will leak out and the car will overheat if the leak is bad enough. If the leak is not very major or if the crack is at a point that does not have a coolant jacket then it will not overheat. A cracked block could leak oil, compressed air/fuel, coolant, or nothing at all and still be cracked. -R. Mesyef
You can drive a car with a cracked engine block, but it will eventually stop running. The engine will go out completely after time.
how can you tell if the head is cracked from the exhaust side
It would depend on where and why it cracked and it may not be repairable or worth repairing. You may want to consider locating a good used block or purchasing a reconditioned short block.
