It is not that bad a job. Make sure you have a tie rod removal tool (about $10 or so from auto parts store). The only hard time I had was removing the ball joint. I used the jack the car up, slide in the end of a 1/2" drive and release the jack and it popped the ball joint out. Make sure you remove the nut first. Otherwise it is a pretty easy job. Good luck. If you have never done it before give yourself the day.
