You can purchase R-134a in cans at any automotive store like Autozone or Advance and many discount stores like Wal-Mart and K-mart. Most will come with oil additives and stop leaks which are great to use because if you are needing to add R-134a you are leaking some where and if you are leaking your are also losing oil.
You can't. You have to be Section 608 certified and licensed to buy CFC12 (R12) in any quantity. Your best bet is to either convert it to R134a or R414b.
Buy 3 cans. Uses 2 1/2.
R134a is a refrigerant gas
if you can find one with R134a in it that is as close to eco friendly as you can get....so they say
buy the can with the guage, the gauge haves an indicator, that will indicate the correct (safe) amount.
No. It is illegal, will not work properly and R12 Freon is not available for the public to buy anyway.
Can you mix r134a with r410a?
On all years, makes and models you will need to go to any automotive a/c repair shop and have them reclaim this for you.... (Do not just let it out in the atmosphere this is illegal)....... Depending of if your have R-12 freon or R134A freon you can buy the R134a freon at any auto parts store but you need to be licensed to buy R-12 freon.........
No, unless the a/c has been converted to r134a
R134a.
Chevy switched from R12 to R134a for the model year 1994. Your truck should be R134a.
newer vehicles, such as a 99 jeep, all use 134-A refrigerant.
