That only works for the front wipers, I'm trying to figure out the rear wiper blade...sorry, but at least I READ your question.
To change the driver wiper blade on a Toyota Matrix, lift the wiper arm away from the windshield. Press the small tab on the underside of the wiper blade where it connects to the arm and slide the blade downwards to remove it. Align the new wiper blade with the arm and slide it up until it clicks into place. Finally, gently lower the wiper arm back onto the windshield.
To change the windshield wipers on a Lexus ES 300, first lift the wiper arm away from the windshield. Press the tab on the underside of the wiper blade to release it from the wiper arm, then slide the old blade off. Align the new wiper blade with the arm, ensuring it clicks into place when you press the tab down. Finally, gently lower the wiper arm back onto the windshield.
When you purchase the new wiper blade the package has detailed instructions on it. Or you can get the parts person who sells you the blade to change it for you. I have changed many blades for customers.

The wiper blade misses the windshield in the middle of the wipe. Is there an adjustment for that ? I have replaced the wiper to no avail.

Actually, I believe you mean the wiper rubber blade. It will state at the back of any good replacement blade on how to change it. Most dealers themselves would do it for you. Let us know if this helps.
