How do you fix a 2002 jaguar x-type door latch. The latch is movable but it won't latch or catch on its own. Any help would be greatly appreciated?
Check that the latch is working. With the door open, Push the latch back with a screwdriver, & make sure it is holding in the closed position. If it does not hold closed the lock or inner door actuating mechanism may be faulty & would possibly need to be replaced. If it does hold closed, it should be just a matter of adjusting the striker plate.
