Here you have two decisions, the toll highway way (preferred) and the way on the back roads but have lots of traffic lights.

Preferred:

Continue on the Atlantic City Expressway

If you want to go to lower Absecon

Island (Ventnor,

Margate,

Longport),

take exit 2

or

If you want to go to upper Absecon

Island (Atlantic City Marina, Brigatine)

take exit 1

Back roads:

At the fork, stay on NJ-42 S/Black Horse Pike toward Washington

Township/Williamstown

NJ-42 S becomes US-322 E (still Black Horse Pike)

US-322 E merges with US-40 E (still Black Horse Pike)

Head about 12 miles and you're in Atlantic City!
