Hello, I found the owners manual for the sun super tach 2 on Sunpro's website. This is the addy. http://www.sunpro.com/publish/2007/09/27/pdf_english_16472.pdf Hope it helps.
Not that I know of, however, I think they do for the pick ups.
generaly: red = coil green/blue = insrument light power black = ground
I had the same problem with a Japanese mini-truck. I found the Sunpro CP2010 model handles the 3 cylinder issue by an internal switch. 4 Wire hookup - hot, ground, light and coil.

The population of Sun Gro Horticulture is 350.
Most Sun Pro tachometers have a switch on the back for selecting the number of cylinders. Just slide the switch from the 8 position to the 4 position.
From the command line: sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre
u have to look at ur distributor if it is an HEI "coil on top there is markings on the distributor cap for the tach but if it is a regular distributor with an external coil you hook it up to the neg wire off the coil neg/ black wire
You can install it using Synaptic. Or, from the terminal:sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre
