How do you recharge the air conditioner on a 1999 Ford Windstar - the air conditioner comes on but blows no cold air?
If you need to add refrigerant, your system has a leak. Could be a small leak, could be a large leak. Best bet would be to purchase some R134a with leak seal/o-ring reconditioner. You can get a kit with a recharging hose.
Make sure your car is running with the air conditioner on full blast. Connect the hose for the kit to the suction line (NOT the high pressure side) located on the passenger side of the vehicle.
Basically follow the instructions on the can. You may need more than one can of R134a to notice a difference.
If the compressor is not taking refrigerant...the pressure may have gotten so low that it's off on a low pressure switch. In this case, I'd suggest finding someone that knows more than you and ask for their help.
Another thing to check is the temperature blend door actuator motor.

Sounds like you've verified the AC functions - so it's a matter of the temperature controls.On a Windstar, this is controlled by a small motor that moves the temperature blend door.
