Unlike many rear windows the rear window on a 55 Ford F 100 is installed from the inside and not the outside . Put the black rubber seal around the window before installing wrap a thin rope around the outside lip starting from the bottom push the window up against the outside of the cab And with lots of soapy water slowly start to pull the rope out making sure the seal lip is on the outside of the truck window. This procedure might take you a little time, but is easy to do. Try and keep a constant pressure from the inside of the window as of the rope he slowly pulled out. Hope this helps, good luck!
