Safely jack up the car and ensure that there are backups if your jack fails.

Unbolt the driveshaft support bracket and let the driveshaft droop.

Unbolt driveshaft from Diff but don't remove it from the gearbox or your box oil will leak out.

Unplug Neutral / Reverse Connectors on gearbox.

Remove facia (interior)unscrew gearknob.

Remove rubber boot around shifter boot.

Loosen engine mounts (so you can move the engine around a bit).

Remove all gearbox to engine bolts, don't forget the ones around the starter motor, from memory there are 12 bolts in total.

Support the gearbox

Removing the gearbox without the driveshaft will be much easier but you need the plug the box or oil will go everywhere.

Unbolt the gearbox cross member

Slowly lower the gearbox jack while pulling the box towards the back of the car

Once the box is slightly lowered, remove the gearstick assembly (4 bolts, easiest done thru the cabin) as this will make moving the box around much easier

Lower the box to the ground, some gentle encouragement with a mallet may be needed to split the box from the engine.

Congrats, your gearbox is now removed
