There probably "pressed in" so take a couple of old nuts or balls from the rocker arm, put the nuts on the shaft, then put the rocker nut on and just tighten it up, it willl pull the shaft out of the head. Good Luck
pressed in..
PUSH rods and rocker arms... yes.
You could remove the rocker covers and watch for a rocker that is not moving up and down as much as the rest.
350's use rocker studs instead of bolts, and they are mounted to the heads.
remove intake manifold and rocker covers. loosen nuts on rockers and remove pushrods. lifters should lift right out of their bores.
YES they are.
if you can remove the broken studs without doing damage, you may be able to redrill the holes with the proper tap drill, and retap the hole for the screw in studs without removing the heads. careful you don't drill through the head, and get drill chips in the engine. i guess it depends on how good you do machine work.
Which side they came from, where the push rods came from and if you remove the rockers remember which rocker went where
Under the rocker cover.
Look for a plug or cap in one of the rocker covers.
Probably a sludge problem.
Rocker arms are set to a specific preload or backlash on v8 Chevies. There is no torque specification.
