How do you replace fuel level sending unit on 1967 Ford Galaxie 500?

the 67 Galixie is easy 1st you will need a loosin all of some kind , I prefer K73 put out by krown or wd40 ,next a pair of pliers to remove the hose clamp on the fuel line a flat screw driver to remove the wiring connector and last a hammer and at least a 8'' drift to remove the lock ring.

First you need to remove the fuel from the tank by syphon hose lift the car up and put jack stands under it (safety first)

use the pliers and move the hose clamp up the line then with the pliers grab the fuel line at the point where the clamp was and give it a turn to break it loose then push it up off the nozzle

use the flat screw driver and pry the connector off (there are two tabs holding it on and it just pops off)

you will see 4 tabs in a ring around the line out and wire connector these are the lock ring

if you use the drift and hammer (remember lefty loosy righty tighty) put the drift on the easiest to reach tab and GENTLY tap it to the left if you spray it all first with a loosen all it should just turn out then you pull the sending unit out and up.
