Had the same problem on my 2002 ext. eventually had to have the rear shocks and air ride compressor replace. Had the dealer do it for 3300.00
Just disconnect the battery for about 5 minutes. It will wipe out the memory for codes and start you fresh. Only drawback is you'll have to reset your radio station presets and maybe some other creature comforts. The other thing you can try is find out what fuse controls that system/item pull it out for about the same time and it may reset the fault memory for that system.
the air ride actually never needs to be reset unless its been turned off to fix a flat tire or has been on a lift in a garage. your air ride is shot and one or more likely many components need to be replacedthe air ride never actually needs to be reset, most likely just replaced. if your getting a warning in your control center that it needs to be reset it most likely means that one or more components of your air ride needs to be replaced, probably the air compressor as well as the air bladders of one or most likely all of the shocks. they over time get weak from use and start to leak making the compressor run more then it should causing indefinate faliure

Go in the trunk and to the left on the side you will see a little panel that you can open, inside you will see a switch. Toggle that and you have reset your air ride.

Can't everytime you start the car the chime will go off and the messege Check Ride Control appears, the only two things you can do is get it fixed or after it appears on the messege board, push the reset button on the dashboard it will clear it off that until you start the car again.
