Start by warming the car up. Remove engine sump plug to drain old oil. Remove and replace the oil filter with a new one. Refit sump plug and fill engine with new oil until it reaches the maximum level on the oil dipstick. Run engine for 20 seconds, wait a few minutes after engine is turned off and recheck and adjust oil level to just below maximum.
Check and/or adjust tyre pressures, brakes, lights, park brake, windscreen washer jets, suspension and steering. Air and fuel filters, spark plugs and ignition components, idle speed, drive belts, timing belt, differential and transmission fluids, washer fluid, radiator coolant.
If you do not understand any of these components I would recommend paying somebody to service your car for you.
