To remove the interior door panel on a 2001 VW Beetle, start by carefully prying off the plastic cover behind the door handle to access the screws. Remove the screws using a Torx screwdriver, then check for any additional screws or clips along the bottom and sides of the panel. Gently pull the panel away from the door, carefully disengaging any clips, and lift it upwards to free it from the top edge. Finally, disconnect any wiring harnesses for power windows or locks if applicable.
Open the driver's door and look about middle ways down on the side panel. You will see the fuse panel door about 4" x 4" in size. Use a screw driver to pry open the door.
