Check to see if you are getting power to fan motor turn on A/C or defroster If you are getting power to fan - then fan is defective If not check fuse Could be temperature sending unit in radiator

A worn transmission gear can cause a Chevy Impala to whine when the gears change. A bad fan belt can also cause this.
Being the huge supernatural fan that I am, it surprises me when ppl don't know. But it's okay, it's a 1967 Chevy impala.

You need to have the fan replaced!!! Make sure to get one from Chevy because it is an OEM product... Don't get a rebuilt or replaced from your Schmucks.

This is a diagnostic process. If the coolant isn't low and the fan will run when the AC is turned on it will need a Mechanic to Diagnose.
Blown fuse, motor burnt up, or the fan relay switch is bad.
