A passenger side airbag warning system typically uses a weight sensor in the front passenger seat to determine if the seat is occupied and the occupant's weight. If the sensor detects that the seat is empty or occupied by a lightweight passenger (such as a child), it will trigger a warning light on the dashboard and may disable the airbag to prevent injury. Conversely, if a heavier adult is detected, the airbag system remains active, ensuring safety during a collision. This system helps enhance passenger safety by adjusting airbag deployment based on the situation.
Passanger side under headlight
passenger side air bag is activated by a sensor in the passanger seat, if it says "passanger air bag off" (or anything indicating its not on) there has to be a person heavy enough to turn it on, if there is someone sitting in the passanger seat and still says "passanger air bag off" there is a malfuntion in the system or sensor... ****there has been a recall with issues of 2003-2005 kia spectras with the passenger air bags, if that's the case its FREE to get it fixed at the dealer***
Behind the passanger side head light.
I it only happen when the ac is on, your ac water conduction hose is plugged. Go under the passanger side of the car and look for a rubber hose that is size of a dime and blow air in to it with a air compressor to un plug it.
