How far is Tiruchendur from Trivandrum?

Tiruchendur is approximately 175 Kms from Trivandrum. I recently went through the route. The different options are

1) Trivandrum - Kanyakumari - Tiruchendur (Good One - Preferred as you can visit Cape and too), The road from Kanyakumari to Tiruchendur is trouble free - No traffic at all the road is too good without pot joles but could not withstand the heavy weight of the mining tipper loaries so its very uneven.

2) Trivandrum - Nagarcoil - Vallioor - Sathan Kulam - Tiruchendur - Also quick but the road frm sathankulam to Kanyakumari-tiruchendum is not good - you caneasily get lost.

Distance wise both are same
