Divide total miles by average speed (mph). For a normal journey, the average speed, taking into consideration stops for fuel, meals and stop and go rural traffic, is around 57 mph, even though you drive 75 mph on the freeway, you cannot maintain that speed constantly for 24 hours non-stop! So, take 647 and divide it by 57 = 11.37 hours of driving time. The next time you take a long trip with stops for fuel, etc., jot down the starting time and arrival time - figure the total and divide it into total miles - this will give you the average speed.
