To drive from the east coast to the west coast in Ireland will take about 3 to 4 hours. It depends where exactly you are driving. Ireland is wider at some parts than at others, and some roads going across the country are better than others. Then you have to take traffic into consideration.
There are no ferries from Northern Ireland to France. To get to France by ferry you would first drive to somewhere in the Republic of Ireland, particularly Rosslare, and get a ferry from there. The ferry takes about 24 hours, and the drive to Rosslare from Northern Ireland would take at least 3 hours, depending on where in Northern Ireland you were starting from.

You cannot drive from Ireland to France to Italy. Ireland is surrounded by WATER...it's an ISLAND. Unless you have a hoverboat then it's not possible! You can take a boat, though. And from France to Italy would be approx. 20 hours.
Ireland's coastline is about 1970 miles long. So going non stop at 60 miles an hour, it would take over 32 hours. In reality of course, you would not drive that long and roads don't go directly along every part of the coast. So to drive around Ireland, you would do it over the course of a few days. There is of course more to Ireland than its coast line. Ireland is over 32,000 square miles, so to see a lot of Ireland you could spend days driving around it. Going direct from the west to east coasts, can be done in less than 3 hours by motorway. So it really depends on how much you want to see and at what pace you want to see it at.
