It should take about 15-16 hours straight driving time, not counting breaks. I am a former truck driver who has actually done it before (several times). My trips were from Minneapolis to Birmingham, but not all at once since we are only allowed to drive 11 hours at a stretch.
14 hours can drive 11of those hours
In the US, commercial truck drivers cannot drive more than 11 hours in a 14 hours period. Also, the driver must have 10 consecutive hours of rest before driving again.
depends on how fast you drive.
I'm saying 14 by car and 20 hours for a BIG truck drive time total ,its 1016 miles
Truck drivers in the U.S. are subject to the Hours of Service regulations set by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Generally, they may drive a maximum of 11 hours after 10 consecutive hours off duty. Additionally, they cannot drive after 14 hours of being on duty, and must take at least a 30-minute break after 8 hours of driving. These regulations aim to ensure safety by preventing driver fatigue.
10 hours a day is around the safety mark, a US truck driver is only allowed to drive a maximum of 11 hours a day. However for the average person you should factor in the time of day (is it at night) have you taken any energy drinks. Just remember never drive while tired no matter how much ground you need to cover.
up to 14 or 15 hrs a day
24...but, if you are asking 'legally', I don't know. The State DOT could tell you. -------------- 11 hours of driving then 10 hours OFF duty then you can drive another 11 hours then 10 hours off, etc........
