Whether a car is considered new or used is more a legal distinction than a mileage distinction. A new car is considered used as soon as it is sold by the dealer even if it only has 3 or 4 miles on it. As such, the price of a very low-mileage used vehicle is substantial less than a new vehicle which is why I would never buy a new vehicle.
A NEW UNUSED vehicle has never been titled. Once it is titled, even if it has ZERO miles, it is then considered used.
In the state of California miles on a car do not factor in if it is used or not. California considers a vehicle new until it is reported as sold by the DMV.
When you sign the paperwork, you have purchased a new vehicle, now it is used Though they've racked up some miles, they remain covered under the factory warranty. But if a vehicle has more than 10,000 miles on it, it's no longer considered a demo
I am trying to find similar answers. In my research, it turns out that the car is not considered used until it is titled, sold, and driven off the lot, regardless of the number of miles. There is, however, a limit on the number of miles that the demo car can be driven by the dealership. There's also a limit set by state law, but it varies by state, and I have yet to find out a listing. Good luck!
Some thing's to check on all used vehicles before purchase would be how old it is and how many miles are on it. Also inquire about what parts have been replaced and when they were replaced.
Before buying any used vehicle there are a few things you should know. You should know how many miles are on it, if and when parts have been replaced or refurbished, and how well it runs.
How many miles it has will depend on the year of the vehicle. A used vehicle can have anywhere from 30,000 miles to 120,000 miles on it, but the lower the miles usually means a higher price.
If you want to figure out how many gallons you will need and you know how many miles per gallon you achieve then 60 / (your miles per gallon) = how many gallons you need. If you want to know how much you used in 60 miles, one method would be to fill up the tank completely before the trip and then again after the trip and how much you put in the second time will tell you how much you used.
About 3 gallons of gas are used in driving 55 miles.
