The Ford 500 typically has four oxygen sensors: two upstream (pre-catalytic converter) and two downstream (post-catalytic converter). However, the exact number can vary based on the engine configuration and model year. It's always best to consult the vehicle's manual or a repair guide for specific details related to a particular model.
On a 2007 Ford 500 AWD, the oxygen sensors are located in the exhaust system. There are typically two types: upstream (pre-catalytic converter) and downstream (post-catalytic converter). The upstream sensor is positioned before the catalytic converter, while the downstream sensor is located after it. Specific names for these sensors might include "O2 sensor" or "oxygen sensor," often labeled as Bank 1 Sensor 1 for the upstream and Bank 1 Sensor 2 for the downstream sensor.
It is threaded into the exhaust system after the catalytic converter.
500
Only Ford wold know for sure but the name 500 was used by Ford in the 50s & 60s on the Fairlane 500 and Galaxy 500. I guess Ford just decided to use it on the car that replaced the Taurus.
Mileage will decrease; I got 450KM per tank with it connected and 350 after I unplugged, also carb is getting sticky and black. But with it connected it stalls and is a $500 part for my truck.
