The AVON M50 CNBR Gasmask cost anywhere from 300$ to 1000$ depending on who's selling it. If you're lucky enough to come across one hope they donet know how they're worth. But odds are since they are a relatively new model and only government personnel have them (more or less), the only ones you'll likely find are non-military versions which are not as effective, or they're stolen gov property.

The M50 mask carrier is typically worn on the left side of the body.
Test for a tight fit with the M50 gas mask as follows: With a hand over the front module assembly, blow out hard to force out any air around the edges of the mask. With the palm of your hands, cover both primary filter inlet ports and breathe in. The mask should collapse against your face and remain so while you hold your breath. If it does the mask is airtight. If the mask does not collapse, check for leaks. If the mask still does not collapse, notify your superior.

The M50 gas mask is not specifically OSHA certified; rather, it is certified by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) for respiratory protection. OSHA standards require that respirators meet NIOSH certification for workplace safety. While the M50 is widely used by military and certain civilian agencies for protection against chemical and biological agents, its certification pertains to NIOSH rather than direct OSHA endorsement.
