To change the alternator on a 1.4 16v Mk2 Renault Clio, start by disconnecting the battery to ensure safety. Remove the drive belt by loosening the tensioner, then unbolt the alternator from its mounting bracket. Carefully disconnect the electrical connections from the alternator, install the new alternator in reverse order, and reattach the drive belt. Finally, reconnect the battery and test the new alternator to ensure it’s functioning properly.
To change the water pump on a Renault Clio 1.4 16v, first, ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the battery. Drain the coolant and remove any components obstructing access to the water pump, such as the timing belt cover and the timing belt itself. Detach the old water pump from the engine block, clean the mating surfaces, and install the new pump with a new gasket. Reassemble by reversing the steps, refill the coolant, and check for leaks.
