It really depends on the year, the newer models for the most part the idle control valve is bolted to the throttle body, you'll have to unbolt the throttle body so you can gain access to it. The idle control valve has 2 small coolant lines going to it so be sure the engine is cold. Do not attempt to remove the 5 point bolts that look like a torx. It is normally held in with 3 10mm bolts. Note: often these valve don't need replacing, it is very common for them to get dirty and just need cleaning. You can test this by lightly tapping it when it's running, the idle should jump up or dive down. Once you get it off you'll see a thin half cylinder in a housing, this acts like a door letting a controlled amount of air through. Try to move it gently back and forth after spraying carb cleaner on it, do not force it. Once clean it should spring back if moved. A stuck idle control valve is also a common cause of code P0506 - idle control system RPM lower than expected & P0507 - idle control system RPM higher than expected also not uncommon to find P1128 - MAP lower than expected, P1129 - MAP higher than expected
To replace the speed sensor on a Honda Pilot you first need to research it. There are two speed sensors on the Honda Pilot. One is on the transmission the other is on the left front wheel. To replace the one on the tranny all you do is unscrew it. To change the other you have to remove the wheel, brake caliper and caliper bracket. Then you remove the hub. Then you pull it out.
