They can't be mixed together. So if that's what you're asking, then the answer is no. Hot Shot is R-414B refrigerant. The manufacturer claims that it can replace R-12, R-134a, and several other types of refrigerant without the need to change the compressor oil or any components. If you had an R-12 system, perhaps you'd have a reason to use it, but there is a reason that, while several refrigerants (including R-414B) were approved by the EPA for use in motor air conditioning systems, R-134a was the only one with widespread approval from the automotive industry.
