Is it safe to run a 350 Chevy with straight pipes?

yes. the basic principal of engine performance is to get more in and get more out. get in and get out. straight pipes are one of the most effective ways to push out the combusted chemicals within the motor in order for it to take in more through the intake manifold. however, straight pipes cannot compensate for a catalytic converter or 0s sensor. and beware for being pulled over by police for decibles

Is straight pipes louder than a glass pack?

straight pipes are louder than glass packs at first, glass packs have glass wool inside to help muffle the sound, when the glass wears out they get louder, it also depends on the length of the glass pack. if you get glass packs, you can run the car for awhile and shut it down and then spray water in the pipe, it will break down the glass, it might not be as loud as straight pipes but it will give you a better even sound versus straight pipes, I have both and done both.

Can you run straight pipes from the turbo back on a 7.3L powerstroke?

What are straight pipes?

Straight pipes are exhaust that are quite literally "Straight" instead of flowing the the frame of the vehicle. That's one way to answer it, but the question must be from a kid; if so, "Straight" pipes (which usually are "straight and unbent" actually refers to running an exhaust without a cat or a muffler; it's a kid thing for real unless you are at a drag strip and talking very serious ponies on tap, usually the fuel dragsters or funny cars have "straight" pipes which come out of the exhaust ports and bend upward and backward; but we're talking 2000 hosepower, less than 10 seconds of run time and Nitromethane for fuel. Have fun and save your dollars to pay the noise pollution tickets and fines. lol ! straight pipes are awesome on some engines and very annoying on others.but yes straight pipes are not usually staight, they just dont have anything like a muff or cat

Your ford focus has a upgraded exhaust but you want more noise?

I am installing a new disposal. Can I run the disher line directly into the drain or do I need to run it to the new disposal?

You can run it straight through, but the whole reason for running it through the disposal is to catch anything comming off your dishes before it can clog up the pipes.
