Sounds like you're on the right track to figure it out. Have you made sure that the Radiator and reservoir is full and not leaking? Maybe you need to flush the system to make sure its cleaned out and there isn't some form of build up in there causing restricted coolant flow.
I would check fluid level, if this is good then give er a flush and see if that works
if that doesnt work i would check:
make sure i installed the thermostat correctly, and that i have the correct temperature for my vehicle there are different temps out there
Make sure my heater core is good, run the vehicle to operating temp and turn the heater on if you get heat and no leaks or rise in temperature on your temp gauge you should be ok.
Re-check all the hoses
have a mechanic check my water pump.
IF none of these work, you probably need to see a mechanic to see if there is some kind of a computer problem with your vehicle
A belt is on the outisde and keeps everything together, where as a gear is on the inside and keeps moving.
how do you change belts on2.5 model sentra
It keeps drive belts under tension (pulled tight)
If the belts were misaligned you would have more problems with the belts slipping or falling of. I think it sounds like you may not have enough slack. When the belts are tightened you should have say a few mm slack where you can tug the belts up and down with your finger.
There are two belts. Here is how to change them both. Pictures included.http://www.justanswer.com/questions/1qyrs-2004-scion-xb-change-alt-power
I keeps you safe by not letting you fly out of the car if you are in the event of a car crash.
View your owner's manual for specifics on the mileage requirements for maintenance. My rule of thumb is to change the belts when you change your spark plug wires and your cap and rotor.
standard mileage for most all timing belts is 70,000 miles, but not many Jeeps have belts, they have chains that do not need to be replaced
It is unlawful to change factory installed belts for belts not meeting the same standards. If the vehicle was originally equiped with lap belts, lap belts are all that is required. If the vehicle was equipped with lap and shoulder, then lap and shoulder are required.
I would think so. Just replace the belts.
It depends on the year.
