W1 with a wire would be single stage, W1 & W2 with both wired would be two stages of heat. If two stage, it is important these are wired back correctly on the replacement, so as not to bring on the second stage first. If it is a Heat/ Cool application Y is the cooling terminal. In both cases R or RH is the power feed from the unit(boiler) for heat, and R or RC is the power feed from the cooling unit(air handler).
