im sure you noticed its a very common problem theres a pin that connects the tailpiece to the lock cylinder that falls out use a 4mm allen wrench pull back the molding and find the hole that accesses the retaining screw for the lock be careful not to drop the screw into the door the whole lock piece will come out and you can see if the pin is missing or tailpiece is broken if its missing replace it with a proper sizes roll pin or screw and locking nut dealer used a cotter pin on mine and it ended up breaking the tailpiece off the cylinder i just switched with the passenger door lock and used that .replacing the lock is about 80 at dealer you will need your vin
