You probably have a loose blower wheel. Call an AC tech to fix it.
No i dont however i am getting a rattling from somewhere else
It could be a belt slipping... the bearings in your ac compressor going out... low fluid level in your power steering reservoir
Your AC unit may be making a rattling noise due to loose or damaged parts, such as fan blades or screws. It could also be caused by debris or dirt buildup within the unit. Regular maintenance and inspection can help identify and resolve the issue.
when i turn on the ac in my 2000 honda civic it makes a loud noise when the fan is working what could that be ?
power steering fan belt. It happened to my neon whenever the air was on. Try driving without the air on, if it runs fine then it is the fan belt. Mine squeeled when i turned on the ac and when i turned...$10 for a new AC belt and $40 service fee to have it installed. My car no longer sqeeks, and the AC is WONDERFUL!
The most likely answer is that the refrigerant in the AC system has slowly leaked out and can no longer work at low speeds.
It means that the compressor is broken inside, and it is time to replace it.
The sound of the keyword "ac" is a soft and gentle rustling, similar to the sound of wind blowing through trees.
If the squeaking sound is heard only when the ac is on, the ac pulley may need a little bit of WD-40 sprayed on it.
wow exact thing with my 2001 prizm, this rattling has been going on for over 3 months and havent been able to figure out what it is yet. Some people say its an alternator bearing or a pulley. Im gonna send it in to the dealer soon and hopefully when i find out ill let ya know!
loose or worn belt
Check the ac compressor and clutch to see where the noise is coming from. Also check the compressor drive belt for wear.
