in all air bag removals you need to disconnecting the negative battery terminal. then after physically removing the airbag from the dash, you simply unplug the airbag and set it some place secure. remember, airbags are set off by a chemical reaction, they dont NEED electricity to inflate. so always treat them as if they were hooked up and energized. when you store them, keep in mind they can still kill you, your family, or your kids if mishandled. so be careful how you handle them, and how you store them.

it is right on the back of the motor on the passenger side. It is alot easier to get from the bottom, but you can get it from the top. its up quite a ways and you have to reach by the exhaust. so be careful!
