There is not much room in there so you should remove the center console, which is over the engine cover. You might have to remove the lower panel on the steering column. Remove the complete unit itself and on the back side there should either be "2" screws holding in the fan speed switch, or it could be held in by retainer clips, depending upon production changes. the fan speed switch has aseparate wiring harness to it. Be carefull when pulling the knob off.
