The age at which you can get a driver's license depends on where you live.

In the United States, you have to be 16 years or older to get a full (unrestricted) license, depending in the state you live in. In a few states (Alaska, Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming) you may get a Learner's Permit at the age of 14.

In most other countries, the minimum driving age is 18, with some at 16 or 17 and others at 21. Alberta, Canada is the only place whose minimum driving age is 14.
