What is the law on returning a used car that is a lemon.

A vehicle is a lemon if it is in the custody of the dealer for repairs over a cumulative period of 30 days or more. Only repair attempts during the first 24 months or 24,000 miles qualify and only if the manufacture was first notified in writing of the condition during the first year or 12,000 miles since the initial date of purchase.

It depends on how the contract was written. It also depends on the laws of the state and the condition of the car when it was purchased.
