The compensator torque specifications for a 1975 Harley-Davidson FLH typically require the compensator nut to be torqued to 65-75 ft-lbs. It’s important to use a torque wrench to ensure accuracy and avoid damage to the components. Always refer to the specific service manual for detailed instructions and specifications, as they can provide the most reliable guidance for maintenance and repairs.

Hi, I bought a 75 FLH and the original colour was tank, fenders were black. The batwing fairing, hard bags and the spring saddle were white. I have old photos of it that I can scan if you wish. Gilles
Needs tuning. Air filter's filthy. Got S&S?

In 1955 Harley added the model FLH Super Sport. The FLH has polished and flowed intake ports and has 8:1 compression. In 1955 the FL had 7.25:1 compression. (Prior to 1955 the compression in the FL was 7:1.) The letter H = High Compression.
The FLH had a higher compression ratio and hence more power than the FL. The FLH can be identified by having 7 cooling fins cast into the head to disipate the additional heat generated by the increased compression.
