Dirty condenser coils or low of refrigerant. I need to elaborate a little more. System is not low of refrigerant. 2000 RPM high side pressure is around 310 psi low side pressure is around 17 psi. A/C cools great, but compressor never disengauges and evaporator freezes up. Condenser is clean on the outside. I'm thinking that something may be stopped up. Expansion valve maybe? Or is it just a switch? I doubt that it's because of low refrigerant! I'd check the cycling switch first...

What causes an ac evaporator to ice over?

An AC evaporator can ice over due to a few key factors, primarily related to low airflow or insufficient refrigerant. When airflow is restricted—often due to dirty filters, blocked ducts, or a malfunctioning blower motor—the evaporator coil can become too cold, causing moisture in the air to freeze on its surface. Additionally, low refrigerant levels can lead to lower pressure in the evaporator, resulting in temperatures that drop below freezing. Both situations can disrupt the normal heat exchange process, leading to ice buildup.

What causes the calipers to freeze on a dodge 3500?

Age, moisture in the brake fluid, normal wear, etc.

Is frost on evaporator coils normal?

Yes, some frost on evaporator coils is normal, especially in cooling systems. It occurs when moisture in the air condenses on the cold surface of the coils and freezes. However, excessive frost buildup can indicate issues such as low refrigerant levels, poor airflow, or a malfunctioning thermostat, which may require professional inspection and maintenance. Regular maintenance can help prevent abnormal frost accumulation.

Will filling up overflow tank on Honda crv with antifreeze be okay?

Uncertain what is being asked. Yes, you can add anti-freeze to the cooling system in this manner, but not to add any more than just a small amount. If you need to introduce enough anti-freeze into your system in order to winterize it, you should drain, flush, and re-fill the cooling system in the normal fashion.

What motion causes normal fault?

a pulling motion causes a normal fault

Does the dry mode of an air conditioner de-humidify?

Yes, it operates the indoor fan at a slower speed resulting in a colder evaporator coil thus condensing water vapor from the room air passing over it more effectively than if the fan was running at normal cooling speed.

Is it possible for the evaporator valve to stick in a 1997 Camaro RS and how hard is it to change?

I am not exactly sure of what you are asking but there is not an evaporator valve. There is an evaporator core that resembles a radiator and there are not any parts that can stick. The only problem they have is leaking. There is an orfice that goes in the inlet to the evaporator and it has no moving parts. It can get stopped up and cause the high side pressure to get higher than normal.

What causes evap large leak on Mercedes s class?

Not sure of the question. Normal AC use will cause the evaporator to pull moisture out of the air which then leaves a small puddle of water about under the car approximately under the feet of the front passengers

Which water will freeze faster cold water with salt or normal water with salt?

normal water with salt

Why does your refrigerator have water in the bottom?

condensation from the cooling coils this is normal

Can you use antifreeze as a coolant?

50% anti-freeze, 50% water is normal, this can be elevated to 70% anti-freeze, 30% water. It is not recommended to have a higher anti-freeze ratio than this.
