Durban and Johannesburg are big cities, so add up to 60km for local variations at each end of the trip. Driving at the speed limit the trip will take about 5 hours. By air it is a short 60 minute flight, but if you add travel to and from the airport and waiting time at the airport you need to allow 3 to 4 hours from origin to destination. You can also travel by train, bus or minicab taxi. Not recommended!
