Is it not on the outer cover? If not, the fuse block is not stamped or marked?
The C means it's for a Chevy truck, but I couldn't find anything on the 4b. The k means it was made in St. Catherines, the 0218 is Feb. 18, and the tmm says that it's either a 1974 350 2 barrel, or a 1980 350 4 barrel. The numbers you provided suggest that your Chevrolet 350 engine was manufactured in 1980. The casting number GM 3970010 corresponds to a 350 cubic inch engine produced between 1969 and 1980, with the suffix code V0817TBC indicating that it was assembled in August 1977 at the Van Nuys plant. Therefore, your engine most likely dates back to 1980.
First of all....absolutely not an original engine for this year. The last year for the 455 was 1976. Do some research and make sure you are actually getting a 455. The block casting codes are stamped by the distributor and the head casting numbers are on the two center exhaust ports. There are plenty of online sites that will help you decode these numbers.
The 305 was an option on that car, so a 350 should be a bolt-in.
