If it's an automatic then you have a bad torque converter.
It may also be a fuel delivery problem like a plugged fuel filter or incorrect fuel pressure.
Possibly due to engine mount
Idling is what your car is doing when it is just sitting somewhere running. As soon as you press on the gas it is no longer idling. Your idle speed is the number of RPMs your engine runs at when you are idling.
Idling too low or a bad lock-up torque converter solenoid.
it idles quickly to save as much fuel, energy, oil, etc. as possible
Idling too high?
I sat in my car in the driveway with the car idling, waiting for the kids to come out.
you shouldn't drive a 95 neon

stalled. please stay off the roads.
if u are in a high gear no shift down because if u stay in the same high gear u will loose rpm as the car skids sideways causing a shorter drift.
Its not in reverse gear.
